Who manages the community?

  • The Members elect a Board of Directors, which makes the day-to-day decisions. This way, decisions may be made efficiently and in the best interest of the group.
  • The Cooperative may contract for certain management tasks (such as ground maintenance).
  • Contract personnel work under the direction of the Board. The Board oversees outside contractors to ensure they are meeting the requirements of the contract.
  • To keep costs down, we do some of the work ourselves. We depend upon member volunteers for various tasks such as serving on committees, painting speed bumps, weeding the pond area, distributing announcements, etc., in accordance with their abilities and interests.
